Overview

Biomedical entity search usually returns results without showing how they connect. BioRender makes the chain visible. Researchers explore genes, diseases, drugs, pathways, and proteins in a 3D graph built on PKG 2.0 (about 482 million paper-entity links), and get generated summaries with inline PubMed citations.

What I built

  • Built the backend routes for the initial query and linked-entity lookup.
  • Built graph expansion on double-click with multi-signal candidate ranking.
  • Built the multi-hop connection finder and graph snapshots saved to Firestore.
