Avada Kedavra

3rd Place

A wizard defense game controlled with hand gestures, built in 24 hours.

Avada Kedavra - 1

Overview

A 2D wizard defense game where players cast spells with real-time hand gestures to defend a bridge. Unity runs the game, and a Python process tracks the player's hand from a webcam and sends actions to Unity over UDP. Built as a team in 24 hours.

Highlights

  • Gesture control with OpenCV hand tracking: open and closed hand move the player, other gestures cast spells.
  • Unity game loop with progressive difficulty and a bridge that visibly degrades with damage.
  • Switchable input between gestures and keyboard and mouse.
